2009 Big Year for Ford PAS
2009 was a busy year for Ford PAS teacher training, with a total of five regional trainings held across Ohio. Total involvement from Ohio schools included 17 new schools, with a record total of 50 teachers trained last year in the hands-on Ford PAS modular curriculum. The training is comprised of two days of hands-on training and a follow-up day of activity presentations by each of the participants. Teachers involved in the training always have good things to say about the experience:
- I don’t think I would change a thing with the training. The class had me totally engaged and eager to learn more. I have new ideas after this class and think I can get my students motivated.
- I really enjoyed it! I haven’t attended anything this refreshing and motivating in years.
- Donna’s (Donna Tucker, Ford PAS teacher and trainer/instructor) experience with FordPAS was the most valuable aspect as she has already succeeded with her students. The fact that the students were so capable was very affirming regarding the value of the FordPAS program to me and my students. Lunch with student panel was the best!!!
- This is a great tool that will assist and engage our students in a way most have never experienced.

This year’s Ford PAS 2010 Spring Teacher Training is scheduled for April 20 and 21, with May 18 scheduled for the final full day of training/participant presentations.
